There are a number of housing options available for students around Kahala.  Students could opt to stay in Waikiki which is a few minutes away or decide to stay in the plush Kahala or surrounding neighborhoods.  We will work with students to find the optimal living arrangements depending on your desired lifestyle, convenience and budget.

Types of housing available

Family homestay:  In Kahala and its surrounding neighborhoods there are opportunities for students to live with a local family.  Host families provide a bedroom, meals and transportation.  Students can immerse themselves into the local Ohana culture and reinforce their English learning skills at home.  Prices range from $320 - $550 per week depending on length of stay and services desired.

Short-term condo/home rentals:  In the Kahala area, there are beautiful, quiet and comfortable units for rent.  From studio's to one-bedrooms, students could live independently and enjoy the lifestyle of Kahala.  Prices for these units vary widely but could range from $500 - $700 per week.  For those who don't mind a short commute then rentals in Waikiki, Kaimuki, of Hawaii Kai can be considered as well.  Prices can vary from $450-$600 per week.

Student residences:  Students can also consider living in furnished residents.  Typically, these units are fully-furnished and provide a private or shared living environment for younger adults.  These units are located in and around Waikiki and near the University of Hawaii.  Prices can range from $320 - $850 per week.
